Hi Jill,

Jill you are a wonderful person and so full of love and concern for your child. Have you thought about trying aromatherapy. The aroma of Lavender would help your daughter with anxiety. It's well worth the study.
God Bless.

             Sincerely, Roy

Oh my goodness Jill. I was just going through mybloglog and adding communities from my friends and had no clue. K was just diagnosed in December (although it took almost a year to get everyone to sign off, we knew for about a year before that) And now we are talking about actually getting dh tested (I was sure he had it before I was sure she did!!!) What a small world. And to think, I had never even heard of AS until a couple of years ago when my friends dd was diagnosed... turns out I have been married to an asby for 19 years!!!

I am going to be adding this to my google reader and keeping up!!!

Hugs,
Les

I'm so happy to hear that things are working out.
You can always find social interaction in other settings. You could consider joining a homeschool group or doing "gym" at the YMCA or local rec centers.

Good luck at the new job.

Thanks Ruthie. Homeschooling is great but it sure isn't easy when you have a million other things that need your attention. I'm feeling that pain right now. The only reason I'm doing it is because if I don't, I will never see Kiddo except on my days off. Homeschooling was really the only viable solution for us right now. I hope next year turns out to be a great year for Christopher no matter what you decide.

Ahhh, I'm so glad you guys made a decision. Hope everything goes well with it. We are so torn as to what to do for Christopher next year. Hopefully, we can make a decision soon. Unfortunately, it won't be homeschooling, I just don't see me being able to swing it with babies, but it is something that I've always wanted to try. Good luck to you guys! :)

I've worked with a few parents who are opting to home school their children on the autism spectrum. Although it's a lot of work, they feel it has been the best thing for their kids.

Actually, I usually have 5 posts per page. I just have the one up for now. It will go back to 5 though.

Thanks on the move. I will only be working til about 11pm so I will still have time to sleep. I'm still not 100% sure I will be working that shift yet. Won't know til I get there and talk to the recruiter.

Sounds like your granddaughter is doing well. That's great!

Can I ask why you only put one post on your front page? That means an awful lot of hunting for what else you have written.

Good Luck with your move and I hope that the new job works out for you. It would be awfully difficult to walk all night and teach your child during the day, especially because you have to sleep sometime or other, and after working you will be very tired.

Doctors think one of my granddaughters might have Angelman's. We've been thinking she might be autistic because she has never spoken. But out of the blue she started saying Mama; she just has taken 10 steps on her own, she is almost 2, and a special test done shows that she is 8 months behind other kids her age. But they don't say that she has mental problems so that is a good thing. She might just be a little slow in developing.

Again, good luck!
